August 2^nd  Trail-Way.. Mid Summer Rain Wins

 

With most of the cars already pit side, the darkening skies and frequent lightning only forewarned what the radar was showing. The next thunderstorm was on its way and the management of Trail-Way was left with no other option but to cancel the nights racing.

 

The 2009 rules package test cars were present in the proposed rule package equipment (16sq ft wing and 13” wheels)  and the feedback of the proposed rule changes was very positive. Both test cars will be back on display (and will do some shakedown laps) this Friday night at Path Valley before the major test session on Saturday night at Path Valley.

 

As the cars did not get a chance to lap @ TW, both cars are scheduled to make a return visit during our next race night (8/16/08). This will give the regular TW Saturday night competitors the ability to witness some of the test session action.

 

Our thanks to Rick Hench for helping equip the test cars, especially at this time, with Rick suffering extreme pain from a back injury that will most likely require a surgical procedure to rectify.
